Wearable Device Data

With your explicit consent, we access health and fitness data from connected wearable devices, including but not limited to:

• Heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV)
• Sleep duration, stages, and quality metrics
• Recovery and readiness scores
• Activity data (steps, calories, exercise minutes)
• Body temperature deviations
• Training load and strain metrics
• VO2 Max and body battery data

This data is obtained through authorized API integrations with Oura, Whoop, Fitbit, Garmin, Apple Health, and other wearable platforms. We only access data categories that you explicitly authorize during the OAuth consent flow.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the platform, including pages visited, features used, session duration, scroll depth, and device/browser information. This data is used to improve the platform experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide and maintain the Load Metric Pro platform
• Display wearable device metrics on trainer dashboards
• Generate AI-powered training and recovery insights
• Calculate recovery scores, baselines, and trend analysis
• Send transactional emails (account invitations, alerts, notifications)
• Improve platform performance and user experience
• Respond to inquiries and provide support

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information or wearable data to third parties. We may share information in the following circumstances:

• Trainer-Client Relationship: Client wearable data is shared with the trainer(s) who have been authorized by the client. Trainers can view dashboards, metrics, and insights derived from connected wearable data.
• Service Providers: We use third-party services for hosting (Netlify), database management (Supabase), and transactional email (Resend). These providers only access data necessary to perform their services.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

4. Wearable Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect wearable data:

• All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
• OAuth 2.0 tokens stored with encryption at rest
• Row-Level Security (RLS) enforced at the database level
• Access tokens are automatically refreshed and old tokens are invalidated
• No raw API credentials are exposed to client-side code

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Disconnect Wearables: Revoke access to any connected wearable device at any time through the platform or through the wearable provider's settings.
• Access Your Data: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Delete Your Data: Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Opt Out: Unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data and wearable metrics for as long as your account is active. When you disconnect a wearable device, we stop collecting new data from that device. Upon account deletion, we remove all associated personal and wearable data within 30 days.

7. Third-Party Wearable Platforms

Our platform integrates with third-party wearable providers (Oura, Whoop, Fitbit/Google, Garmin, Apple). Each provider has their own privacy policies governing how they collect and handle your data. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies. Our access to your data from these platforms is governed by their API terms of service and your explicit authorization.

8. Children's Privacy

Load Metric Pro is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
